  In round-robin games ties will stand.  Final games that are tied at the end of regulation
  time will have 2 5-minute overtime periods (no golden goal), then if still tied
  a shootout.  Men and women will alternate shots in the shootout.

  ** All players must be registered and fully paid. Players may play for a team other than their
  regular-season team, but may NOT change teams during the tournament.
  ** Reminder: No more than two men players between ages 25 and 30 are allowed on the field at a time.
  ** Scoring for round-robin play is:
  => 3 points for a win
  => 1 point for a tie
  => 0 points for a loss
  ** Forfeits are scored as a 2-0 victory for the non-forfeiting team.  Double forfeit = 0 points for each team.
  A team must have 7 players on the field within 5 minutes of game time or a forfeit will be called.
  ** If teams are tied after flight play, ties will be broken (in order) by:
  -- Head-to-head game results
  -- Largest goal differential (max 4 goal difference per game)
  -- Least goals given up
  -- Shoot-out.

  All decisions by the tournament director are final.

The Northern California Adult Soccer League (NCASL) is a coed recreational adult soccer league, based in Redding California.  Each year the league holds a fall season and a spring season, each consisting of about 9 games plus a tournament.  Our league rules/policies include:
  • A team on the field consists of at least 3 women and 8 men.  No more than 8 men can be on the field at a time.
  • Minimum ages to play in the league are 25 (for men) and 18 (for women).  A team can have a maximum of 3 men on their roster who are 25-30 years old, and just 2 men of that age on the field at one time.
  • When a PK is awarded, a woman will take the kick.
  • Except for the league tournament, registered players may sub in for other teams that are short on players for a particular game.   It is assumed that such 'sub players' will not take the place of a team player who is present and ready to play.
  • Except for the league tournament, game scores and team standings are not recorded.
  • Fees to play in the league are collected from each individual player (currently - Spring 2010 - $55/player).  To continue to be in the league, a team should have at least 15 paid and registered players on its roster.
